Monsoon – It’s that time of the year and once again, it’s time to celebrate! The heavy grey thunderclouds have blown in and the much-awaited monsoon has set. Rain, in all its glory, is like Manna from the heavens above and each downpour, a welcome break by the parched land.

It’s coming, signals freshness triggers imagination, and is a testimony to the fact that perhaps, God has a hand in creating the perfect setting for a brand new beginning.

It is also that magical time of the year when the rain clouds cast their spell over the bio-diverse, rich forests of the Anamalais. The passing grey clouds cast shadows and mystery. The mountains recede into a blue haze and the forest patches in the valley below will be cloaked in veils of mist.

At any given time, the stillness of the place, only broken by the chirping of the birds and the howling winds, offers a perfect setting for outdoorsmen to idly sit there and soak in quietude.

Painted in shades of Monsoons, the forests of Anamalais appear saturated with hues of blues and greens in varying shades and will reward every drive you undertake with glorious vistas to absorb!
